The Joe Davis 138 Tombstone Cue, made by EJ RileyDescription:
The Joe Davis 138 cues were made to comemorate Joe's break made in 1938, known examples were made by Peradon and EJ Riley. Joe did not better his personal best until he made a break of 140 in Feb 1948, while this would suggest a long period of manufacture, the war and lack of resources in the aftermath makes this cue still quite a rare one. This is a machine spliced example with ebony butt and birdseye maple front splice and an ash shaft.
Length: 57.50inches, weighing 17.00ounces.
Cue diameters: 10.80mm at the tip, 14.60mm at 12in, and 29.70mm at the butt.
